Duke’s Healthcare Division Grows Staff in Dallas

Four Development Professionals Added to BremnerDuke Roster to Keep Pace with Booming Healthcare Business in South Region
(Dallas, TX. – August 18, 2008) With current and anticipated development projects on the horizon in the South, BremnerDuke, Duke Realty Corporation’s healthcare division, has expanded its Dallas staff to include four additional development professionals.
“It is with the addition of quality team members like these that we will continue to fuel our growth and success in Texas and the South healthcare region,” said Ed Bittner, Senior Vice President for BremnerDuke’s South region.
New to the corporation is Steve Wheeler, Development Executive, who will be charged with developing new healthcare projects in the region. Wheeler comes to Duke with a diverse healthcare development background that has allowed him to acquire a broad understanding of the entire real estate development and investment process – from pro forma budgeting to construction, marketing and leasing.
After two years with Duke’s national construction group, Ed Woods has also taken on the role of Development Executive with BremnerDuke. Woods will oversee the recently announced Veterans Affairs Medical Clinic project in Fort Worth, along with other healthcare assignments. He has extensive experience in administration, operations, and business development within the construction industry.
Also added to the BremnerDuke roster in Dallas is Mike Arne who has been promoted to Director of Pre-Construction for Healthcare. In his new role, Arne is responsible for leading cost analysis and design efforts as he supports the healthcare division’s efforts in the South Region.
A Duke employee since 2005, Alex Bennett, is now serving in the capacity of Project Executive for the healthcare division. Bennett will use his experience in land acquisition, site planning and the coordination of site infrastructure issues as he assists BremnerDuke during the development phase for various healthcare projects.
